Cyber Security Risk Research Center

There is a fierce power struggle raging on in the cyberspace, geospace and space (CGS). These new hi-tech battlegrounds are full of unknowns, including major players, minor players and rules of war. In this hi-tech battlefields, the casualties have been quietly piling up. It seems every nation has been hit and is at a risk of being hit. No one is being spared, including common citizens.

This hi-tech battleground brings each nation, the good, the bad and the unknown. The blurring boundaries of cyberspace with geospace and space, has pushed each nation to a significant decision point today, as they must continue to defend their current systems and networks in the geospace and space, while simultaneously struggle, to get out in front of their challengers and competitors in the cyberspace.

Cyber-Security Risk Research is about identifying, understanding, evaluating and managing the security risks arising due to the computer code, connected computers, internet –cyberspace and the changing technology and global fundamentals of a digital global age.

  • Changing global fundamentals due to connected computers, computer code, internet-cyberspace
  • Rapid technological changes in the cyberspace
  • Growing security vulnerability due to cyberspace technologies
  • Blurring boundaries between cyberspace, geospace and space (CGS)
  • Blurring boundaries between nations: its government, industries, organizations and academia (NGIOA)
  • Rapid changes in governance, management, business and service models due to digitization
  • Changing nature of security risks in cyberspace, geospace and space due to cyberspace

Cyber-Security Risk Research Center will develop cyber abilities to:

  • Identify, evaluate and manage the risks facing NGIOA in CGS due to cyberspace
  • Discuss, debate and define necessary framework, structure, processes, tools and technologies to manage the security risks of the digital global age
  • Integrate and coordinate, risk management and governance framework at all levels within and across nations for managing security risks facing NGIOA in CGS in a digital global age.
